How much does it cost to hire you?
Nothing up front. We work on contingency: we are paid a percentage of what we recover for you, and only if we win. If there is no recovery, you owe us no fee.
How long do I have to file a claim in California?
For most injury claims, two years from the date of the injury (Code of Civil Procedure section 335.1). Claims against a city or county can have a deadline as short as six months, so call early.
What is my case worth?
It depends on your medical bills, lost income, how the injury affects your life, and the insurance available. We give you an honest estimate after we review your case.
Should I talk to the other driver’s insurance company?
You should report the crash to your own insurer, but don’t give a recorded statement to the other side’s insurance company before talking to a lawyer.
What if I was partly at fault?
California uses comparative fault. You can still recover money even if you were partly to blame; your amount is reduced by your share of fault.
Will my case go to trial?
Most cases settle. We prepare every case as if it will go to trial, because that is what gets the best settlement offers.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. Sofia Martinez and our staff speak Spanish, and we have Spanish pages on this website.
Can you come to me?
Yes. If you are in the hospital or can’t travel, we can meet at your home, at the hospital or by video.
